Here are two Makeup Tutorials for the play. The first is on basic stage makeup. The second regarding Munchkin makeup. Please review and practice. You can leave any comments here and our awesome makeup crew can answer questions.
Hey hair and makeup peeps!
If you haven’t already joined the hair and makeup Facebook page make sure you go and search “Wizard of Oz Hair and Makeup Team” and join! I need to finalize my volunteer list this week so let me know for sure if you’re still available to help. I’ll need you Thursday before the show for the full dress rehearsal and Friday and Saturday before the show starts! If you didn’t sign up to help originally and want to join in on all the fun then let me know and I’ll get you added! We need all the help we can get!!! Thanks parents!!!!
Friday Rehearsal
Friday Rehearsal
REHEARSAL NOTES
Several kids had to leave early Tuesday and while we understand that kids have other responsibilities, even if they leave 15 minutes early there is a chance they will miss practicing their entire scene. Also as we begin full show run throughs they will begin to rehearse the finale and bows at the end. Notes are given, and occasionally choreography and placement are changed after they see a scene rehearsed. Please make every effort to allow your child to stay for the full rehearsal from now until show time. Thank you!
ONE MORE DIRECTOR'S CIRCLE RESERVED ROW LEFT!
We have one more reserved row available and it's for Friday night's show! This Ruby Reserved Row is $500 and includes a half page ad as well as 19 tickets! Please let me know by Friday if you are interested!
All tickets will be reserved and will go on sale in a week or so - this is just an option if you would like to guarantee a whole row of seats together!

Costume Volunteers
I need to finalize my list of volunteers for the week of the show. I have created a page just for costume volunteers, so we don’t bog down this page with our posts. I have already added some people. I cannot add you if you are not already my FB friends, but you can search for our page. It is Martin Musicals Costumes. Just ask to join and I will approve it. I have a list of everyone who volunteered. If you didn’t originally volunteer for costumes but would like to help, message me and search for and join our page as well. Most of the show week costume duties are helping kids with quick changes, making sure we don’t miss cues, helping keep costumes organized, and simple safety pinning. I need plenty of backstage help, you will only be asked to do one show night, but we will need you during our tech rehearsals.

Parents -
We are adding an auction/raffle as part of our last fundraiser for both show nights. I am looking for baskets, gift certificates, etc. If you or someone you know has a business and would like to donate something, please let me know (due by April 20th at the latest). Those who donate will get their logo on a life-size poster next to the auction tables and a mention the night their items are up for auction/raffle. I do have a list of items we have already gotten, I can share if you are interested. Thanks in advance for your help!
Contact Info: tonya@cfaweatherford or 817-917-8772 or message me on FB.

Time to start promoting our wonderful show!
Rehearsal tracks for Jitterbug
Students should practice singing and dancing at the same time. They are having trouble with running out of steam and forgetting to sing at the end of the song. It’s very demanding choreography and they need to build up stamina.
You can also find the video here.

Don’t forget congratulatory ads are due this Friday!
REHEARSAL NOTES
The time has come when each rehearsal includes almost the entire cast! This means that each day there are over 100 kids waiting for their time on stage!
Beginning tomorrow, the kids will be waiting in the music room for their time to go on stage. The routines and policies we begin tomorrow will be very similar to how it will be at the high school during the week of the show. We wanted you to be aware of their expectations from now on. With this many kids waiting together it is important that everyone understand our expectations.
*Kids will be waiting for long periods of time so they need to bring a calm activity to pass the time (card games, coloring, books to read, etc)
*We will allow electronics UNLESS it becomes an issue (viewing inappropriate things, not paying attention to their call to go on stage, etc) ****once we get to the high school, electronics will not be allowed in the cast waiting room
*We will have someone to call each group when it is their time to go on stage
*They may bring a water bottle labeled with their name.
*They will be asked to go to the bathroom before rehearsal begins and then wait until the end or until a break.
*Limiting bathroom and drink breaks will ensure that kids are in the music room when their scene is called and they don't miss their time on stage.
*When practices end at 6:30 (like this Friday) the cast will be provided a snack. When practices end at 8:00 (as well as the entire show week) they will be provided dinner.
*Unless absolutely necessary all cast members need to stay for the entire rehearsal. When even one person is missing it changes how the scene is run.
Thank you for being supportive of our policies and rules! We want to make sure this experience is positive for the entire cast!
Costumes
I am attaching a copy of the cast list that includes each students costume base and shoe requirements for the show. Please use this document as a reference for your shoe and costume base questions. Your child should already have their shoes. If they don't please get them ASAP. I do have a few new pairs of shoes left if you want to see if I have their size. Chorus Camp info. is not on this document. You can find chorus camp information on the link to our website. Once again parents thank you for your help. I will have lots of costume volunteer opportunities coming up. Keep an eye on this page if you would like to help.
